Campbell-Christie House is a historic home constructed in April 1774 in what was then Hackensack Township on the east side of the Hackensack River that was moved in its entirety in 1977 from New Milford
Steuben House was used by George Washington as his headquarters for 16 days in September 1780.
Demarest House is a historic house near the Van Steuben and Campbell Christie house. It is known for its stove chimney which was a technological advance at the time it was built in 1794. It was originally in New Milford, but then moved to River Edge. It was renovated in 2009 and is open to the public as a museum

Oradell is 2.57 square miles and borders Dumont, Haworth, Emerson, New Milford, Paramus, and River Edge and was originally formed on March 8, 1894, as the borough of Delford
On November 12, 1920, the borough's name was officially changed to "Oradell", based on the results of a referendum held ten days earlier.
The most notable structure of note when driving through Oradell is the Atwood-Blauvelt mansion on Kinderkamack Road in Oradell was built in 1897 and is home to the Hiram Blauvelt Art Museum.
The Atwood-Blauvelt mansion takes its name from original owner, Kimball Chase Atwood, and from its second owner, Elmer Blauvelt who bought it in 1926.
Atwood spent $100,000 on the construction of the mansion
The 25-room mansion is situated on a large plot of land and fronted by a two-acre sloped lawn that comes down to Kinderkamack Road. Its location, prominent lawn, massive foundation, steeply pitched gable roof, and hexagonal towers with conical roofs make the mansion a landmark structure.
Other noteworthy places in Oradell include the Little Firehouse Theater- a stage theater that was originally a firehouse. The Bergen County Players perform plays and musicals at the theater and a small park in the center of town that was created in the 1960s to honor astronaut Wally Schirra, who was raised in Oradell, marked by a plaque that reads "Home of Commander Walter M. Schirra Jr., USN, the first Jerseyman to orbit the Earth, Oct 3, 1962"
In 2016, New Jersey Family, a resource for New Jersey parents, ranked Oradell the winner of "New Jersey's Best Towns for Families"
